Congratulations Class of 2020

Well done on recently completing your studies at Nottingham Trent University!

We know that you have graduated at a time of change and uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and we understand that this may be daunting as you enter the world of work.

The Class of 2008 graduated twelve years ago - and just like you they faced a time of huge global change, as a financial crisis threw much of the world deep into recession.

Alumna and founder of RSViP business network keeps companies connected through troubling times
30 October 2020

Established business network, RSViP, have been working hard to keep businesses connected during the last few months since lockdown began in March. By acting quickly and taking their in-person ‘Network Social’ events online, business was able to continue as (un!)usual. Aptly named ‘Keep calm and carry on digitally’, the events have been running for 6 months now, and show no signs of stopping.

Bernadette's work against Coronavirus

Alumna Bernadette Walsh (BSc Hons Biomedical Science, 2014) has been active in the fight against Coronavirus within the NHS.

She works as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in the Patholgy team at the Royal Derby Hospital and has told us about her role in the pandemic.

NTU presents awards to two inspirational alumnae

Jane DonaldAs part of this year’s winter graduation two inspirational alumnae will be recognised.

Introduced in 2007, the Award for Outstanding Alumni recognises the vital role former students play in raising the University's profile through their distinctive attainments, professional success and contributions to society.

Dr Anino Emuwa (DBA 2016) is the founder of Avandis Consulting. Based in France, with a subsidiary in Lagos, Avandis Consulting provides research-led strategy consulting and financial advisory services to entrepreneurs, SMEs and business leaders. Anino also leads a management development seminar series which aims to motivate and energise women entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level.

Jane Donald (BA Hons Graphic Design 2003) is a Production Co-ordinator, managing tour logistics for some of the world’s major stars including as Foo Fighters, Mariah Carey, Rolling Stones, Pharrell Williams, Blink 182 and Kanye West.
