Ann Francke - global business management expert


Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration in recognition of her significant contribution to British industry and the promotion and development of improved management practice in the UK.

As Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Ann brings extensive global general management experience and a proven track record of developing people and delivering innovative strategies that result in sustainable growth.

The CMI has a very strong relationship with Nottingham Business School and accredits many of our courses. Ann has been involved in our accreditation work, has been a source of inspiration to NTU in setting its strategic plan and has been huge advocator of our degrees, our opportunities and our students’ management and leadership development.

Ann began her career at Procter and Gamble where she rose to Global General Manager. After 14 years with the company, she moved to Mars where she was European Vice President. Ann went on to hold executive board positions at Boots, Yell and was Global General Manager at the British Standards Institution.

Recently, Ann received the Louis Armstrong Award for outstanding leadership of a UK professional body at the 2016 MemCom Awards and was named one of the 100 Women to Watch in Cranfield University’s Female FTSE Board Report 2015.
