NBS welcome Alumni Fellows for fourth year

19 September 2018

Nottingham Business School (NBS) hosted an event to mark the start of the Alumni Fellowship Programme for this academic year - after recruiting over 50 further volunteers, bringing the total number of Alumni Fellows for NBS alone to 300.

The event started with a warm welcome and introduction from the Dean, Professor Baback Yazdani and Deputy Dean, Melanie Currie. This led into presentations including NBS Alumni Fellow, Christine Tomlinson from HMRC, who highlighted some of the activities she had been involved in, giving the newly recruited Fellows a taste of what to expect.

Students, Chipo Maluzah and Sophie Darr also contributed their perspective of the mentoring they had received from Alumni Fellows and how much it had helped in preparing them for their careers ahead. Our students also said that they were very keen to become Alumni Fellows themselves once they had graduated and had achieved at least two years of industry. NBS academics then delivered subject area workshops, in which Alumni Fellows were invited to discuss and feedback their thoughts.

We are very grateful for the support of our Alumni Fellows and excited that the programme is now in operation across the whole university. Find out more, including how to get involved, here
