NTU Alumni China meet up in Beijing

17 April 2009

Beijing March 2009The NTU Alumni China and Friends party on 13 March 2009 gave graduates a great opportunity to meet Mr Du Ning, China's new alumni ambassador.

There was a fantastic turn-out for the event, hosted by the Vice Chancellor Professor Neil T Gorman. Graduates of subjects ranging from International Business to Fashion Design had a great time meeting old friends and making some new ones. They also received an update about NTU's most recent achievements and the exciting plans for Newton and Arkwright.

Jo Zhang, a graduate of MA Museum and Heritage Management gave a short Beijing March 2009
speech about her experiences at NTU. She now has a job working for the UNESCO magazine World Heritage.

The event was held on the final day of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference - where graduate employability was high on the agenda. Therefore the event drew a lot of media interest and the Vice Chancellor found himself busy answering many questions about NTU's outstanding graduate employability rate.

The event was held in The Grand Ballroom at the Peninsula in Wangfujing. It was organised with much help from the British Council in Beijing.
