Dubai DBA launched by Nottingham Business School
7 November 2011
Nottingham Business School is taking its successful Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) programme into new territory with the launch of its Dubai programme.
The Nottingham Business School DBA for senior managers and executives is being launched with support from Stafford Associates, providers of distance education assistance to business professionals in the Middle East.
Research training and development workshops will be taught in Dubai and Nottingham and students will have a supervisor in both countries. Nottingham Business School supervisors will act as directors of studies and local faculty will work to guide participants through the course, offering a mix of technical, subject-based and local knowledge.
Those already signed up for the three year part-time programme come from a range of backgrounds, including director level positions in human resources, corporate governance, marketing and investment. During the course students undertake research at a high level, often within their own organisations and sectors.
Associate Dean of Nottingham Business School, Professor Simon Mercado, said: "Our DBA is already popular among senior officials here in the UK and worldwide. This new option to engage with the programme in Dubai with local support creates new opportunities for our students and regional partnerships."
