Position: Regional Manager, Premium Education Consultants (PVT) Ltd
Company's main business: Education consultancy
What does your current role involve? I work with vast network of educational institutions. Identifying students’ needs and choosing the right course and institution is on my priority list. I look after the application process and accurately guide the student on the right set of documentation required. I am constantly in touch with consulates, embassies and other departments to keep well informed about the latest rules and regulations regarding student visa requirements. I also manage staff at two of our offices and organise events and create promotion strategies.
How has your career developed since leaving Nottingham Trent? I developed a good understanding of practical business which gave me confidence to lay the foundation of my professional life and I can deploy the interpersonal skills with foreign delegates.
How has your experience at Nottingham Trent shaped or helped you in your career? NTU is very unique in terms of the social and academic environment. Studying at NTU brought an added value to my personal life. The small size of the classes allowed the use of better learning methods. My course gave me the opportunity to put myself on the forefront dealing with our daily business issues. Today I have the overall picture I always wanted to get. Moreover, my degree covered the missing gaps and linked the different business topics together, providing a very interesting experience.
What are your plans for the future? My goals involve growing with a company where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much value as I can. I am looking to establish my own business in the field of education and want to continue to grow my relationship with NTU.
Tell us more about your experience at NTU: Nottingham is a multicultural city with students from all around globe. I enjoyed the relationships that I built with the teaching staff and my fellow students. It is such a diverse community, that you not only learn from your professors but also other students. One can easily say Nottingham is student hub for international students. Keeping all this in mind and being in the education consultancy business it is a pleasure for me to remain part of NTU.
