Networking and staying in touch

15 April 2013

Stephen Dixon Union Marylebone

Whatever your politics, there can be no doubt that we are marking history with the death of Lady Thatcher.

The arguments over her policies have been making news for more than a week now, but it is undeniable that she made history, as a leader, as a politican and as a woman. Whether you believe that history to be good or bad is of course up to you.

What has been fascinating for me has been the archive material, taking a trip back in time to the 1970s and 80s, seeing the country in a different light and seeing politicians of old both in their 'glory days' and in their dotage.

It's a salient reminder that time is short and we should all do what we can NOW to stay in touch with each other and take advantage of the friendships and relationships we built up at NTU.

As always, there are several ways to do that. Network magazine is a great way to stay in touch but we can't send it to you if we don't have the right details, so make sure you update us. The 2013 issue will be out next month.

If you prefer your contact a bit more face to face, well, we can do that too. We have another of our great London networking nights coming up. Not only do we lay on a venue, The Union Marylebone, George Street, W1U 8PA, we also throw in a free drink! It is all free, but you DO have to register. Register online for the next one on 24 April. It's a great way to meet up with old friends and meet new people with an NTU background. Who knows what it could lead to...

All the best as always,

Stephen
