November graduation

5 November 2014

GraduationStephen DixonHello everyone,

Not long now until our final set of graduands for 2014 are celebrating their big day. It's sad to think of them officially leaving NTU but great to know that they're joining our alumni family. If it is YOUR graduation on 29 November then here's a handy tip to keep your day running smoothly.

If you register with your Alumni Association online now you can save time at the alumni goody bag - it only takes a minute and means you won't miss out on the freebies on the day!

Membership of the Alumni Association is free and means we can stay in touch with you and offer you some great help, including the services of our Employability Team. They'll be available to offer you help and advice for up to three years, so don't miss out!

I know you will all be, quite rightly, focussing on your own big moment on the stage, but it will be worth listening in to what our Alumna of the Year (Amerdeep Somal) has to say when she collects her award at one of the day’s ceremonies. Amerdeep is a solicitor and is being recognised for her "tireless work to help victims of domestic violence and for people who are treated unfairly due to their race, religion, gender or disability".

Hopefully it will help show you what great things alumni can do and achieve, putting their amazing education to work.

Most importantly, enjoy your moment. It's all down to your hard work. I hope you feel proud. Congratulations!

Stephen
